Batis Birding Safaris is based in Windhoek, Namibia and originated because of a passion for birds and the joy of sharing it with other birders around the world.

We strive to use local guides in foreign countries and support them to help to build and expand avitourism, especially in poor African countries. We encourage them to protect bird habitats and to train more local bird guides. We offer birding and bird photography safaris to Southern Africa including Namibia, West and East Africa (Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya), South America, India, Papua New Guinea and soon Madagascar, Australia and Tasmania.
