Maans Booysen has exclusive rights to Hyliota Camp. He is a keen birder and naturalist with many years of experience in safari guiding in Southern Africa.
He was based at Madikwe Game Reserve for many years where he conducted game drives and walks in Big Five country and is a specialist bird guide registered with Theta and FGSA. He has guided in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. He was also a game farmer for 25 years in the Thabazimbi bushveld area adjacent to Madikwe Game Reserve. The property was incorporated into the Reserve.
He is also a keen photographer and some of his work is starting to creep into publications like Africa Birds and Birding, African Bird Club, and also in Field Guides such as The CHAMBERLAIN BIRDING GAUTENG by Etienne Marais & Faansie Peacock and COMPLETE PHOTOGRAPHIC FIELD GUIDE BIRDS of Southern Africa by Ian Sinclair & Peter Ryan. There were also 2300 photos selected for inclusion in the Roberts Online website.
Gerhard Booysen is a keen birder and naturalist with many years of experience in safari guiding in Southern Africa. He has completed the Specialist Bird Guiding course with Bruce Lawson at Pafuri, Kruger National Park and is also a keen photographer. He is assisting Maans with the tours.
