Sabie River Lifestyle Resort

Situated on the banks of the picturesque Sabie River, amongst indigenous forest with abundant bird life and a vareity of walks, the Sabi River Sun Lifestyle Resort is just a short hop to the Phabeni, Numbi and Kruger gates into the Kruger National Park.

Directions

From Johannesburg or Pretoria, take the N4 to Nelspruit. Take the R40 to White River. Stay on the R40 to Hazyview. From Hazyview, carry on through 3 traffic lights. Drive for about 900 metres and then turn left on the R536 to Sabie. The Sabi River Sun Lifestyle Resort is approximately 700 metres along the road on the right hand side.

Additional Information

The Sabie River meanders along the hotel boundary creating a wonderful corridor of trees and reeds and long grasses, the natural habitat of many different species of bird.

A hide has been built alongside one of the dams and a veritable flotilla of hippos have discovered this watery home and made it their own, basking in the sun on the sandy island along with many species of birds, including African Darter, Blacksmith Plover and Goliath Heron. Blackheaded and Grey Heron nest in the gracious Fever Trees surrounding the dam.
