Mncedi "Marinki" Gcitshana

Mncedi was born and bred in Cata and grew up looking after his father `s cattle. On top of his bird guiding skills he has horse riding skills and also does horse riding trip to people visiting Cata. He has a good sense of humor with an honest understanding about himself and his community.
Mncedi has good people and social skills. He has great insight in ‘reading' people thus enabling him to address people's needs more effectively. He works hard and learns fast. His guiding skills improved greatly during the course as did his bird knowledge. He has good general knowledge and knowledge of the natural environment.
He provides knowledgeable and informative commentary during a guided walk. His observation skills are very sharp and he is able to spot movement in the bush with ease.
Thokoza Magqaza

hokoza was born and bred in Cata. She knows the area including the forest as she grew up playing here. She matriculated here in Cata.
She has been involved with BirdLife South Africa for more than a year now and is an active member of Ikhwezi Lomso Eco-Club.
She did Bird Guiding Course with BirdLife South Africa in September 2008 and got her certificate. Since the course she has improved considerably her communications skills
